Sometimes it feels like I’ve blogged about everything under the sun, and more than once I’ve felt like I had found my niche. A handful of you have been reading my blog since I used to regularly post food and travel reviews, and some of you might even recall when I used to post classroom activities. For quite a while, I’ve been posting to What do I Know? guided by the tagline A twisted book blog… Sometimes taglines change. Your participation in my first reader survey will be greatly appreciated.

As I continue to refine my path as an author and develop my services as a freelance editor, it’s time for this blog to become more aligned with those emerging roles. A constant battle is the number of topics I would like to write about. With your input, I intend to develop a posting schedule that strikes a better balance between my informative and creative side. The twisted book blog idea has run its course. I’ve always been fascinated by the impact digital media has on literacy. Now it’s time for me to focus on Making meaning in the digital age…

The survey responses will be sent to me anonymously, so please be as forthright as possible. The two questions marked with an asterisk are required, but I hope you will take the time to answer all ten. Thanks in advance for your input. Let’s get this party started!

THE SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED! If you would like to be be entered to win one of three prizes, please leave a short response in the blog comments section below. Results will be posted shortly. Each randomly drawn winner can choose to receive ONE of the following:

  • A complimentary ten-page (double-spaced) copy edit or critique.
  • A critical evaluation of your blog’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • A free copy of my eBook Such is Life (Short Stories)

  1. Jeri, hard to think of how to improve on a blog where the blogger clearly knows her craft and works hard at it and at publicizing other writers as well. Good luck with it all.

  2. Done!
I didn’t see an appropriate question in the survey to say this – so if i may, i will say it here.

Remember how you shared an excerpt of Susan’s book that you edited That type of posts showing editing services is action is super useful. Maybe you could do more of those.

Great survey, great blog – more power to you, Jeri 😀

  13. I like your survey better than mine, because you managed to embed it right in your post. I tried to do that, but failed. Could you please add web site maintenance services to your offerings? 😛

  15. Great idea to do a survey, Jeri. Have answered and hope you get a massive respons. And not least, that participants are honest and don’t say what they believe you want to hear.

  18. I also completed your survey. You have such well written, and informed posts on such a broad variety of topics. I don’t think you should change anything unless another topic becomes your passion.

  26. A survey is a great idea for information. I didn’t really know how to answer the speed loading page question. I would have checked not sure if that was a box.

  29. Jeri, I am sorry I missed the deadline for the survey. As you know I have been taking a hiatus and am dropping in now and then to see what everyone is up to and to make sure everyone doesn’t forget me, so I didn’t manage to see this prior. I hope you got some great info though.
